Our Mission

We operate a bridge housing community to help Northwest Arkansas end homelessness.  We welcome people who have experienced long-term homelessness or face complex barriers to regaining housing into our safe, supportive living environment. In our program we promote physical, mental, spiritual well-being and provide housing-focused support to help each person move into a place of their own. In our community, we advocate for the expansion of supportive housing options and join efforts that promote housing justice.

Our Vision

We see a future where every person has a safe, appropriate home—including people who face complex barriers to maintaining stable housing. We connect our daily work of providing shelter and support to the deeper work for housing justice in our society.

About The Housing Success Fund

New Beginnings supports the housing-focused goals of each Resident staying at the community. Currently, three Residents have moved out or are in the process of moving into a place of their own. The Housing Success Fund helps Residents pay for housing applications, contributes towards paying arrears, assists with rent or utility deposits, and provides money to shop for quality home furnishings. We are pleased to partner with Potters House Thrift Store to double the purchasing power of New Beginnings Residents who are furnishing their own home. Housing + Meaningful Support, is the answer to homelessness.

See The Impact

The New Beginnings story so far is compelling: people can and do recover from homelessness when they access needed support and connect with affordable housing. With help from our onsite staff, look what the Residents here have accomplished in the past few months!

How would you define success if you lived without housing for many years? If you had not been able to care for your health and struggled to have hope for the future? At New Beginnings, success looks like getting a birth certificate in the mail. Success looks like taking out the trash and recycling each week. Success looks like overcoming anxiety to attend a doctor appointment for the first time in 6 years. Success looks like moving out from New Beginnings into a supportive housing program with a lease in your name.

We invite you to donate to the Housing Success Fund and be a part of someone’s new beginning.
