When Brooks and I moved to NWA in 2021, we were lost and longing for connection. We came from a vibrant, rich LGBTQ community in DC and were looking to build the same in NWA. The first time we joined one of NWA Equality's event we were filled with hope that our dream could be possible in Arkansas. We stay committed to NWA Equality's cause and continue to support them in any way we can.
Our first true experience of belonging was NWA Pride in 2022. We were amazed to see such a vibrant and inclusive community right here in our backyard! We fundraise this year to ensure others can celebrate Pride and feel the same sense of belonging we did.
