Chelsea’s Fundraiser for NWA Equality

NWA Pride is one of my favorite events of the year! As a member of the NWA Equality Board of Directors and a proud queer woman, I am raising funds to help protect this annual event that shows so much support for our community.

Unfortunately, NWA Pride is at risk this year. Due to a combination of factors in our ever changing world, we need YOUR support to help make this year’s event a success.

The weekend full of fun that is NWA Pride doesn’t just happen - it is a $300,000 event. NWA Pride spans six events, four of which are entirely free to attend. Yet, 70% of the budget covers essential, non-negotiable costs—safety infrastructure, equipment rentals, labor, waste management, restrooms, and insurance. These aren’t extras; they are the backbone of an event that welcomes tens of thousands of people. 

NWA Equality must ensure NWA Pride remains financially sustainable so that our other important LGBTQ social, health, and advocacy programs aren’t at risk.
