OneCommunity is a nonprofit organization that focuses on bilingual literacy and leadership programs in elementary schools to engage, empower, and strengthen children and families. In Arkansas, nearly 23% of children struggle with basic literacy (3rd grade level or below). OneCommunity believes literacy is transformative and has helped hundreds of children through education since 2009. My passion for equal education and literacy for children led me to become a board member of OneCommunity.
As a former Spanish-speaking migrant child, I identify with many elementary kids today. Community support was crucial to my success, and I want the same for all NWA kids. I urge you to support OneCommunity's mission. Programs like Feed Your Brain and Science Action Club equip children for success. Donations fund books and reading programs, enabling children to achieve their full potential.
