Addiction is a big part of my story, but it does not define me anymore. This year, I am celebrating almost three years clean from opiates—something I never thought would be possible. The Jeremiah House didn’t just help me get sober; it saved my life, led me to God, and helped me discover my true purpose.

Three years ago, I was completely broken. I had lost everything—my family, my self-worth, my hope. I didn’t recognize the person I had become, and honestly, I didn’t think I was worth saving. But Jeremiah House saw something in me that I couldn’t see in myself. They loved me when I didn’t love myself. They welcomed me with open arms and showed me a love I had never known—the limitless love of God.

Through this program, I didn’t just find recovery. I found healing. I found faith. I found a new life. Today, I am the woman God created me to be. My heart is full, my spirit is restored, and my relationships have been mended. I have been reunited with my daughter and my family.

Now, I have the incredible honor of working at Jeremiah House, helping others who are walking the same dark path I once walked. Every day, I get to show people the same love, grace, and faith that was shown to me. I get to remind them that they are worthy, that they are loved, and that God has a plan for them—even when they can’t see it yet. I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, and now I get to offer hope. I get to be the person for others that I once so desperately needed.

None of this would have been possible without Jeremiah House and God’s grace. This program gave me hope when I had none. It gave me a future when I didn’t believe I had one. And now, I get to give that same hope to others.

But not everyone gets the chance I had. Treatment can be nearly impossible for those without the right insurance, and that’s why this fundraiser means so much to me. Every dollar we raise goes directly to helping those who are uninsured or underinsured get the treatment they desperately need.
