In 2013, I began to dream and envision an elevated thrift shopping experience designed specifically for men.

The idea came in a very practical season of life. Eric Uranga and I were within our first few years of marriage, we were raising our young children, and stewarding a tight budget. Eric was transitioning from a season of bi-vocational ministry into preparation for a new role at Walmart Home Office which was a significant step for our family and huge answer to prayer.

During that transition, we struggled to find affordable, thrifted clothing that matched his style and that were in environments that felt life-giving and inspiring. Northwest Arkansas offered many thoughtful, curated thrift experiences for women that I was able to enjoy but options for men remained limited. We felt it deeply as we invested weekend family time searching and rummaging, trying to fill his wardrobe gaps so he could step confidently into a new professional season.

It was in-between the lines of those stretching years that Bold Lives Men's Thrift was first born in my heart from God and came with a conviction and belief that men deserve a memorable, dignified shopping experience too, without sacrificing accessibility or affordability.

This vision was formed in the middle of real and raw life. It has been growing quietly in my heart for years, waiting patiently for the right time to take a step of faith.

That time is now.
