When I moved to Arkansas three years ago from Florida, I was immediately drawn to the vibrant, resilient LGBTQ community that exists in Northwest Arkansas. As a board member of NWA Equality and a Family Medicine Physician focused on LGBTQ+ healthcare, I've gained a unique perspective on both the struggles our community encounters and the incredible strength displayed in overcoming them. My experiences caring for LGBTQ individuals have shown me time and again that community connection isn't just beneficial—it's essential for wellbeing. This understanding has fueled my passion for ensuring that everyone in Northwest Arkansas has access to the support, celebration, and visibility they deserve.
