At NWAWS, our mission is to provide shelter and support at any hour for anyone affected by domestic violence in our community. Ultimately, our vision is to break the cycle of domestic violence in NWA, and we work to achieve this through our pillars of service: 

Did you know...

• 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will be victims of Intimate Partner Violence in their lifetime
• Arkansas typically ranks in the top 10 states for domestic violence incidents and homicides in the U.S. 
• 50% of the clients we serve in shelter each year are children
• 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year
• LGBTQ+ individuals are equally as likely, if not more so, than their cisgender and heterosexual peers to have experienced IPV
  
  

As the only domestic violence shelter in Benton County, NWAWS needs YOUR help to support domestic violence survivors and provide a safe place for them to heal. The cost of providing one day of safe shelter and support services has risen from $100 in 2019 to $175 in 2025, so we need you now more than ever.
