Our goal is to raise $55,000 to replace and refresh Sunshine playground equipment! 🛝 🚲⚽️

As we expand our services and look ahead, our campus needs to continuously reflect the quality and heart of the services happening within our halls each day, and that includes our playground! An overall facelift will create a welcoming and inclusive outdoor space designed for children of all abilities. ♿️

Playground equipment costs add up fast — we need your help! Swing sets, sandboxes, hydration stations, sensory areas, bicycles, toys, and more upgrades are needed to provide a safe and accessible outdoor area for our students. Here, children will have the opportunity to grow in confidence and simply experience the joy of play, just as every child deserves!

Sunshine School & Development Center has served the Northwest Arkansas community for more than 65 years, building an accessible foundation to help all people with disabilities reach their full life potential. ☀️ 🌈 ♿️

For many decades, having a disability meant being labeled, underestimated, and separated in every space for the rest of your life. In the 1950s, the public education system didn't have programming for any children with disabilities, leaving families with special needs searching for a place for their children to learn and grow. Due to this lack of inclusive education services, Sunshine School & Development Center was founded with a strong commitment to seeing a person’s potential, not problems. Since 1958, Sunshine School & Development Center has enriched the lives of thousands of individuals in our community living with developmental delays and disabilities by offering a wide range of specialized therapy and early education services. Because of our work, Northwest Arkansas families are better advocates, and their children now have the ability to thrive into the future without limits.
