Protect the backdrop of our lives in Northwest Arkansas!

NWA loses approximately 9 acres of open space every day due to our rapid growth and development. That's 3,285 acres lost each year- that's an area larger than Devil's Den State Park lost every year! Your local land trust is working tirelessly to save the most special parts of our region for future generations.

The mission of the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust is to preserve and enhance the quality of life for all people through the permanent protection of land.

We work with private landowners and municipalities to put important open spaces into permanent conservation for water quality protection, wildlife habitat, family farms, outdoor recreation, and cultural preservation.

We own and manage 6 publicly accessible nature preserves in Benton and Washington counties for hiking, biking, birding, and nature exploration. To date, NWALT has permanently protected over 9,000 acres across 7 counties in NWA.

With your help, we can make sure that NWA remains the best place in the country to live, work, and play!
