There is an ever-growing need for long-term housing for adults with severe behavioral disabilities.  On the outskirts of Northwest Arkansas, and at the edge of Ozark National Forest, the team at Mitchell's Mountain is building such a place for this special yet vulnerable population to call home.

A Father's Concern: Creating a Solution 

Our founder, Greg Curoso, faced a harsh reality when his son, diagnosed with severe autism and aggressive behaviors, grew older. There were no long-term housing options for adults with such complex disabilities, leaving families as the sole support system.

This is where Mitchell's Mountain comes in. We were conceived out of necessity, with a vision to provide a loving, caring, and safe haven for these individuals.

We envision a place where a healthy, active lifestyle is integrated into daily life. By incorporating sports and physical activity into the living space, we aim to promote healthy body composition and improve mood through the natural release of endorphins and dopamine during exercise.
