Live Disabled is on a mission to create prosperity for disabled adults and caregivers. We provide education on finances, employment, and healthcare, making critical resources accessible and empowering people to take control of their futures.

Too many people struggle to find disability supports, and are left fumbling through a complex system alone. At Live Disabled, we change that. We provide a safe, supportive community, expert-led trainings, and real-world resources so individuals can quickly find the help they need and get back to building the life of their dreams.

This mission isn’t just an idea—it comes from real experience.

Rachael’s Story: Why Live Disabled Exists

At just 16 years old, our founder Rachael first became disabled. The next decade was a blur of depression, confusion, and isolation—a battle to figure out what life could look like with a disability. After finally getting on disability benefits at 26, she realized that while financial support helped, it wasn’t enough to create the life she truly wanted. 😑

So, she fought for a better future. It took another ten years of school, optimizing her healthcare, and pure determination to realize the truth: depression, confusion, and isolation weren’t caused by her disability—they were just a side story.

Her disability was here to stay. But so was joy. 😁

That’s why she founded Live Disabled—to help others break through the struggle and build a life filled with possibility, independence, and success. 🎉

Now, we’re a team of disabled adults helping others truly live. We understand the barriers because we’ve been there, and we’re committed to ensuring that no one has to navigate this journey alone.

Why Your Help is Critical

This year, on April 3rd, during NWA Gives, we’re raising $1,000 to expand our marketing and outreach efforts. Every dollar helps us reach another person who needs support but doesn’t know we exist yet. This money is crucial to ensuring we can reach more people in NWA this year. 

With more outreach, we can:

✔️ Connect more disabled adults and caregivers with financial education and job opportunities. We will use some funds for paid marketing.

✔️ Expand our free resources, helping more people thrive. We intend to do more live Q & A sessions and post them on YouTube.

✔️ Ensure that no one has to struggle alone. Over the years, we have been building a database of resources - it is time to make them public!
