Into The Light

  Into The Light was founded in 2015 to provide refuge and restoration for minor survivors of sexual exploitation and to bring awareness and education to the issue of human sex trafficking.

  When a child is trafficked, there is much to overcome. Often a history of child abuse and neglect prior to their trafficking creates a dark web of hopelessness; but with the help of the caring Arkansas community, the healing light of Christ is shining into their lives.                         

    In the last 12 months, 170 victims began or continued healing through services provided, including long-term advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and strategies to make them less vulnerable to: dangerous traffickers/buyers, further exploitation, explicit images of them being used online, physical harm, suicide, drugs and alcohol addiction. Because of you, human trafficking survivors in OUR communities will experience vital, ongoing support while on their healing journey.

All services provided by Into The Light are designed to foster trauma-informed, long-term relationships with children whose lives have been impacted by the trauma of the sex industry in Arkansas. We are committed to seeing an end to the sex trafficking of children, no matter the cost.

Victoria’s Story “I thought he loved me but it turns out he didn’t.” Victoria left her trafficker with the clothes on her back. She was quick to say that she had gotten caught in a web of gang activity. We assured her that we, and our law enforcement partners, would do all we could to protect her. Threats had been made and Into The Light staff instituted more security than ever before. Victoria’s brokenness was evident. The terror in her eyes was real and warranted. What she had endured made it easy to focus on her strength. She was so courageous!  After several weeks of meeting with her Advocate she stopped looking over her shoulder. Her trafficker was arrested and she began to smile and talk about her future. She began to believe that she had one. Give today to help more girls like Victoria.
