Helping the Helpers: Because No One Can Pour From an Empty Cup

We all know them.

The nurse who stays an hour past her shift to comfort a family. The first responder who carries the weight of every emergency call home with them. The teacher who spends their weekends worrying about a student’s well-being. And the nonprofit advocate who fights tirelessly for others while neglecting their own peace.

These are our neighbors. They are the backbone of our community—the "helpers" who show up on our hardest days.

But behind the brave faces and the "hero" labels, there is a reality we don’t talk about enough: Secondary trauma and burnout are real. When you spend your life caring for others, it’s easy to lose yourself in the process. Compassion fatigue isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a natural response to giving your all in a world that asks for everything. At Be Restored, we’ve seen too many of our local heroes feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from the passion that first led them to their calling.

Our NWA Gives Day Goal: Restoring 200 Local Heroes

This NWA Gives Day, we aren't just asking for a donation; we’re asking you to help us protect the protectors. Be Restored is on a mission to provide critical burnout relief services to 200 helping professionals right here in our community. We believe that those who hold up our community deserve to be held up, too.

Through restorative trainings, personalized coaching, and intentional staff appreciation, we provide the space for these individuals to breathe, process, and rediscover their "why."

Your generosity directly funds the restorative tools our neighbors need to keep doing their vital work.

• $25 | Equip a Helper: Provides a professional with essential burnout relief training and resources to manage daily stress.

• $100 | Restore a Leader: Funds a one-on-one personalized coaching session for a front-line professional to process secondary trauma and find balance.

• $250 | Support a Team: Sponsors a staff appreciation event or restorative workshop for a local nonprofit or school team.
